Editorial Policy

The Journal of Home Economics Research publishes original scholarly work that contributes meaningfully to research, teaching, policy, and professional practice within home economics and related interdisciplinary areas. The journal welcomes empirical studies, theoretical papers, methodological contributions, critical reviews, and other forms of scholarly writing that fall within its approved publication categories.

Scope and Relevance
Submissions must be relevant to the journal’s stated aims and scope and should demonstrate clear academic value. Manuscripts that do not align sufficiently with the thematic or disciplinary focus of the journal may be declined without external review.

Originality
The journal publishes only original work that has not been published previously and is not under consideration elsewhere, except where the journal expressly permits clearly disclosed secondary publication arrangements consistent with accepted scholarly practice.

Authorship
All listed authors must have made a substantial scholarly contribution to the work and must approve the submitted and final versions. The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that all co-authors have reviewed and approved the manuscript before submission.

Language and Presentation
Manuscripts should be submitted in clear, scholarly language and should meet the journal’s formatting and referencing requirements. The journal may request language editing or formatting corrections before or during review.

Research Integrity
Authors are expected to present data honestly, cite sources appropriately, acknowledge all relevant contributions, disclose conflicts of interest, and obtain necessary ethical approvals where human participants, personal data, or sensitive materials are involved.

Editorial Discretion
The journal reserves the right to reject submissions that fail to meet academic, technical, ethical, or policy standards. The editorial team may also make style and presentation edits as part of the production process.

Copyright, licensing, and access conditions shall be governed by the journal’s applicable policy statements as published on the website.
